Registered Nurse | Nursing Care Quality & Patient Safety Informatics Expert | HealthTech Innovator
I am Taiwo J. Dada, a Registered Nurse, nursing leader, and HealthTech innovator focused on improving how healthcare organizations use nursing information, clinical workflows, and emerging technology to strengthen patient safety and quality of care.
Over the course of my nursing career, I have worked across acute medical-surgical care, home healthcare, teaching-hospital, and medical-center environments in the United States and Nigeria, developing practical expertise in patient assessment, care planning, clinical monitoring, medication administration, infection prevention, electronic health records, patient education, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
My work sits at the intersection of clinical nursing, nursing informatics, patient safety, healthcare quality, and responsible artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on developing systems that help nurses recognize patient risks, prioritize clinical needs, coordinate care, and improve continuity across the patient journey.
Frontline standards that keep patients safe and care consistent.
Turning clinical data and digital tools into better nursing decisions.
Responsible AI that supports — never replaces — nursing judgment.
Spotting meaningful changes in patient condition early.
Hands-on acute care across medical and surgical units.
Getting the right concern to the right person at the right time.
Aligning the full care team around a patient's evolving needs.
Clean, structured documentation that holds up across shifts.
Protocols and vigilance that keep infection risk down.
Extending safe, coordinated care beyond the hospital walls.
My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to providing safe, coordinated, and patient-centered nursing care while continuously examining how healthcare systems can better support the nurses responsible for delivering that care.
My clinical experience spans hospital medical-surgical nursing, home healthcare, teaching-hospital practice, and medical-center nursing across the United States and Nigeria.
At Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, I provide comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients, including patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring changes in clinical condition, implementation and evaluation of care plans, infection prevention, electronic documentation, patient and family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
My earlier experience as a Home Health Nurse strengthened my understanding of continuity beyond the hospital environment, particularly the importance of changing-condition assessment, medication review, individualized care planning, caregiver education, and coordination across the patient's care journey.
Academically, I have complemented my clinical experience with advanced education in nursing leadership and business administration. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, where I earned a 4.0 GPA and graduated with distinction, and pursued advanced MBA and MSN-Leadership education.
What distinguishes my current work is my effort to translate the realities of frontline nursing into structured HealthTech solutions that improve how patient information is recognized, prioritized, communicated, and measured.
This work led to the creation of NURSAI™ — Nursing Unified Risk, Safety & AI Intelligence Framework.
Built a nursing career spanning healthcare environments in both the United States and Nigeria, including acute medical-surgical care, home health, teaching-hospital practice, and medical-center nursing.
Developed extensive frontline experience assessing patients, identifying changes in clinical condition, determining when nursing intervention is required, communicating changes to physicians, and supporting appropriate clinical response.
Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-care plans while maintaining continuity across the care process.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatments, medications, care protocols, diet, exercise, and expected outcomes to support informed participation in care.
Experienced in EPIC electronic charting and detailed clinical documentation, including patient histories, vital signs, symptoms, clinical changes, interventions, and ongoing care information.
Created NURSAI™, a proprietary nurse-centered framework designed to integrate nursing assessment, AI-assisted clinical prioritization, care coordination, documentation continuity, and patient-safety outcome verification into one structured system.
Nursing Unified Risk, Safety & AI Intelligence Framework
NURSAI™ is a proprietary nurse-centered HealthTech framework I developed to help healthcare organizations improve patient-risk recognition, nursing prioritization, clinical coordination, documentation continuity, and measurable patient-safety performance.
NURSAI™ grew from a recurring challenge I observed throughout clinical nursing practice:
Nurses continuously generate and interpret critical patient information, yet that information can remain fragmented across assessments, vital signs, medications, care plans, electronic documentation, handoffs, and interdisciplinary communication.
The challenge is therefore not simply the absence of healthcare data. It is the absence of a structured system that converts nursing information into timely clinical intelligence and coordinated action.
NURSAI™ provides a structured response by integrating five critical dimensions of nursing care quality and patient-safety intelligence.
Structures nursing assessments, vital signs, symptoms, medication and treatment information, mobility, wound-care needs, infection-risk indicators, care-plan priorities, and unresolved concerns into a unified patient-risk view.
Uses structured clinical logic and responsible AI-assisted pattern recognition to support trend identification, reassessment priorities, follow-up requirements, and organization-approved escalation workflows.
Strengthens nurse-to-nurse handoffs, nurse-to-physician escalation, interdisciplinary communication, care-plan updates, patient education, and closure of identified clinical concerns.
Transforms clinical documentation into a stronger continuity system by identifying changes between assessments, unresolved follow-up items, handoff priorities, education requirements, and alignment between documented care and current patient needs.
Connects nursing workflow performance with measurable indicators involving escalation timeliness, reassessment completion, documentation continuity, infection prevention, medication safety, care-plan adherence, patient education, and nursing-sensitive quality outcomes.
The framework is designed to support, rather than replace, professional nursing judgment.
NURSAI™ also incorporates the C³ Loop™ — Capture, Coordinate, Confirm, a continuous methodology for converting nursing observations into prioritized clinical action, coordinated response, and verified follow-through.
Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical and surgical patients through patient assessment, clinical monitoring, medication administration, infection prevention, care planning, electronic documentation, patient education, and interdisciplinary coordination.
Identify changes in patient conditions requiring nursing intervention, communicate relevant findings to physicians, and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Conducted in-home patient assessments, monitored vital signs and clinical changes, supported medication review, implemented and modified individualized plans of care, and evaluated patients' physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
Educated patients and caregivers regarding medications, diet, exercise, and continuing care requirements.
Provided direct nursing care, maintained clinical records, monitored and reported changes in patient conditions, administered prescribed medications, monitored medication responses and adverse reactions, and administered routine immunizations.
Worked collaboratively with nursing staff to plan shift services and maintain safe patient-care environments.
Developed foundational clinical nursing experience within a teaching-hospital environment, contributing to direct patient care and strengthening the clinical competencies that have supported my subsequent nursing career.
I am committed to contributing to the advancement of nursing care quality and patient safety through research, HealthTech innovation, professional dialogue, and responsible application of artificial intelligence.
